Memories were made

Wow what an awesome time we had with John! I think I can say Disney was the best vacation ever! I am sure part of it was just the excitement of having our family together and adding that to the magic of Disney, good times for the Blue's.

We had to start out right with the Magic Kingdom. Both John and I have been to Disney before but I dont really remember too much of it (surprise, surprise) and John was at the age where he was too cool so it felt like the first time for all of us as we rode the ferry boat closer and closer to the castle. (And yes we took the ferry boat, I was already pushing my limits with the car ride and an amusement park I was not going on the freaking Motorail. lol )It really was so exciting. We got to the park about an hour before it opened and not knowing what the lines and crowds were going to be like we tried to map out our day. Being there early was pretty cool, the characters came out and did a song and dance that Johnny has been waking up singing ever since we left. "Good morning, good morning....." The gates opened and we rushed in, and I must say it was a bit overwhelming besides being in Disney, looking over at Johnnys face with the biggest smile possible. My heart melted.

After staring at the castle in awe for a few min we headed over to the Buzz Lightyear ride that I have heard so much about. It is a ride were you try to defeat Zurg by shooting lasers at him and the aliens, it even keeps score. Surprisingly we walked right on, and it was "totally awesome". By this time some characters started to come out, of course Johnny was being shy and didnt want to go up to the Ugly Stepsisters. To give him some motivation I got him an autograph book, needless to say he still didnt want those ugly girls signatures. lol The rest of the day was just magical, we got to fly with Peter Pan, jam out with some country bears, ride in Dumbo, chill at Mickey's house and meet an endless amount of characters. There is so much to see and do I dont know how you could do it all in one day! For Johnny the most memorable thing at the Magic Kingdom was the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. I sat this one out mainly because that ride is one of the only things I remember about Disney and I think it scared me a little. lol He was pretty excited about a daddy and Johnny ride and when he came out for the first time since John has been home he ran to me for a hug. It scared the crap outta him and you would think that would make him hate it but it was all he talked about the rest of the trip. The rain cam in and it was the perfect time to head back for a break. We got some rest and went back for the night parade and fireworks. Man that place knows how to do things. It was a perfect day, we had so much fun and waited in line for nothing - it was going to be very hard to top.

Day two we spent at the Animal Kingdom. Much different but another exciting day. We started out with a safari where we really got to see some rare and amazing animals. Then we saw the Lion King show which seriously made me consider quiting my job and finding work at Disney. It was a great show, and we were in the front row. I was surprised of the amount of characters we saw there too. Johnny was getting his autograph book filled up. They had a really cool camp Mickey area with meet and greets set up with Mickey, Mini, Goofy, Chip n Dale and more. My favorite thing here was the tree of life and the movie insidee, Its tough being a bug. For those of you that dont know it is a huge tree with all different animals carved in it. Something you have to see to believe! Then you go inside the tree and watch a really cool 3D movie, hosted by Flick from Bugs Life. We walked a couple of trails and John got to experience Nepal so he can go back and tell Chaudry (his helper) about the ride. There was a dino area with a few rides and we also saw a Finding Nemo puppet show. We really enjoyed the Animal Kingdom, spent the entire day there and all went home worn out. We were lucky to have another day of nice weather and again no crowds, we hardly waited in line for anything. Oh and did I mention there was a huge snow storm in Atl? We really picked the perfect time to go>It is really hard to sum up such a great trip. I can tell this is going to have to be done in two blog posts. So stay tuned for day 3 and 4....
