Alright I know your waiting on the edge of your seats for the last days of Disney - lol but hold on another day. We have just been busy, very busy trying to get back into the swing of things. John left last Friday, it seems like this good buy was harder then all the rest, for all of us. Johnny has been asking me everyday- when is daddy going to be back, why did he have to go again, dont the army guys know how to do everything by themselves? It tugs on my heart strings every time a question is asked. But I do get to tell him, this is the last time daddy is leaving when he comes home he will be back for good. That thought is what is going to get all of us through the next few months, which I am sure will be the longest.
John got back safe and sound on Tuesday, yes it only took 5 days for him to get over there. He has just been getting up to speed with everything and trying to figure out his next move. Fortunately he has a couple of options with new positions opening up. He has applied for one job and looking into another one. He really thinks that changing things up over there will help pass the time. He has perfected his job, even written the training manuals on it so in this case a change might be good.
I added a new ticker so the coundown is on! Johns end of contract is May 22, he will probably be back in the US the first week of June. Well unless we decide to take a caribian vacation for a week... lol. As of now he is still at the same address and phone number so keep in touch!

Memories were made

We had to start out right with the Magic Kingdom. Both John and I have been to Disney before but I dont really remember too much of it (surprise, surprise) and John was at the age where he was too cool so it felt like the first time for all of us as we rode the ferry boat closer and closer to the castle. (And yes we took the ferry boat, I was already pushing my limits with the car ride and an amusement park I was not going on the freaking Motorail. lol )It really was so exciting. We got to the park about an hour before it opened and not knowing what the lines and crowds were going to be like we tried to map out our day. Being there early was pretty cool, the characters came out and did a song and dance that Johnny has been waking up singing ever since we left. "Good morning, good morning....." The gates opened and we rushed in, and I must say it was a bit overwhelming besides being in Disney, looking over at Johnnys face with the biggest smile possible. My heart melted.
After staring at the castle in awe for a few min we headed over to the Buzz Lightyear ride that I have heard so mu
ch about. It is a ride were you try to defeat Zurg by shooting lasers at him and the aliens, it even keeps score. Surprisingly we walked right on, and it was "totally awesome". By this time some characters started to come out, of course Johnny was being shy and didnt want to go up to the Ugly Stepsisters. To give him some motivation I got him an autograph book, needless to say he still didnt want those ugly girls signatures. lol The rest of the day was just magical, we got to fly with Peter Pan, jam out with some country bears, ride in Dumbo, chill at Mickey's house and meet an endless amount of characters. There is so much to see and do I dont know how you could do it all in one day! For Johnny the most memorable thing at the Magic Kingdom was the Pirates of the Caribbean ride.
I sat this one out mainly because that ride is one of the only things I remember about Disney and I think it scared me a little. lol He was pretty excited about a daddy and Johnny ride and when he came out for the first time since John has been home he ran to me for a hug. It scared the crap outta him and you would think that would make him hate it but it was all he talked about the rest of the trip. The rain cam in and it was the perfect time to head back for a break. We got some rest and went back for the night parade and fireworks. Man that place knows how to do things. It was a perfect day, we had so much fun and waited in line for nothing - it was going to be very hard to top.

Day two we spent at the Animal Kingdom. Much different but another exciting day. We started out with a safari wh
ere we really got to see some rare and amazing animals. Then we saw the Lion King show which seriously made me consider quiting my job and finding work at Disney. It was a great show, and we were in the front row. I was surprised of the amount of characters we saw there too. Johnny was getting his autograph book filled up. They had a really cool camp Mickey area with meet and greets set up with Mickey, Mini, Goofy, Chip n Dale and more. My favorite thing here was the tree of life and the movie inside
e, Its tough being a bug. For those of you that dont know it is a huge tree with all different animals carved in it. Something you have to see to believe! Then you go inside the tree and watch a really cool 3D movie, hosted by Flick from Bugs Life. We walked a couple of trails and John got to experience Nepal so he can go back and tell Chaudry (his helper) about the ride. There was a dino area with a few rides and we also saw a Finding Nemo puppet show. We really enjoyed the Animal Kingdom, spent the entire day there and all went home worn out. We were lucky to have another day of nice weather and again no crowds, we hardly waited in line for anything. Oh and did I mention there was a huge snow storm in Atl? We really picked the perfect time to go>It is really hard to sum up such a great trip. I can tell this is going to have to be done in two blog posts. So stay tuned for day 3 and 4....

What an exciting day first the Wolf's welcomed 2 new beautiful baby boys into their family. Reid and Grant both weighing in over 6 pounds amazing to have 2 beautiful, healthy babies. It really is such an amazing thing! So happy for Melissa and Ryan. I just hate they are all the way in Texas - I want to hold these cute babies!! (BTW Johnny saw the pictures and said aww they are so adorable. Of course I agreed. Then he thought for a second and said but not as adorable as me right mama?)
Then John got on his plane and is officially in route to Atlanta. I have been so busy trying to get everything ready the day has flown by. This is pretty cool if anyone is interested you can track his flight

It shows exactly where the plane is and if it is on time. Hopefully he is getting a lot of sleep because Johnny has a full day planned for his daddy tomorrow. Starting with a trip to the park and sword fights. He has Karate tomorrow night too. I cant wait to have my family together!

Learning to work with our hands
My favorite part of the morning is when we finished up and Johnny pretended to be a worker in his orange apron. He was showing me the way to light bulbs when someone asked if they can help and he said I got this. LOL

Welcome 2011
Well I know I am getting old when nothing is going on for NYE, and dinner and sleep sounds like the best option. LOL
2010 was a good year, they go by so fast now its hard to keep track of everything that went on this year. I always like to look through my pictures, it is amazing how much Johnny has grown and changed. Fun to see all the weddings and new additions that were added in friends lives.
It was a much different year for the Blue family, a bit challenging but I am proud of John and the sacrifice he has made and I am proud of myself with the independence I have gained. We were very lucky to have had a healthy 2010 and I am excited of what the new year will bring. Still reaching for the goals we made in the past year and getting John home for good. Seeing what kinds of adventures are in store for us and I think we are starting it off right with a trip to Disney. How can you go wrong at the happiest place on earth, with your family together. So Happy New Year friends, I look forward to spending it with all of you!
