Its a full weekend of sports kicking things off (literally haha) with Karate. Tomorrow is his first ball game as an Astro. Dont worry there will be plenty of pictures, but check out this video of Johnny.

My Little Ninja
Some of you may b
e curious of the challenges I mentioned in the previous post. Well for those of you that know Johnny you know he is all boy all the time, with a lot of boy energy. If someone is sitting on the floor in our house you will most likely get tackled. It is his way of saying - hey, I love you or lets play. Well this is alright for the house but apparently school has a problem with it. LOL and I do understand I don't want anyone to get hurt. Since John has been gone he hasn't had a good wrestling buddy and it is becoming a bit of a problem. So I have been racking my brain to find a way Johnny can get out his fighting energy and came up with Karate. I know this is just what he needs right now
in his life. It will teach him discipline, respect, give him more self confidence (believe me he doesn't need help with that) and be an outlet to fight, kick, punch in a controlled environment. (I know I am genius). Johnny had his first class last week and was the cutest thing ever in his uniform! OMG it was too much. He jumped right in there, and he stood in line, followed directions and got a big grin on his face when he got to kick the teacher. At the end of class he was awarded his patch of courage, and he is now working to earn his white belt. To do this he has to do 5 things without me asking. He has already helped with groce
rys, cleared his plate and brushed his teeth - forget about Zippy, the elf on the shelf, I just needed to offer the kid a belt. I am really proud of him, i've got him involved in a lot of things right now gymnastics, t-ball and now karate and he does his best in all of them! Im excited while John is home he will be able to see him to all of them. So if you want to come out for a game or karate lesson let me know!

One of the coolest things!
After I get the photo booth for the house, this is the next thing on the list. The ultimate tree house. Well I guess we would need a bigger backyard too - lol

Waiting on September...
Once upon a time John and I were waiting on September to come. I was so over being pregnant and ready to finally see and meet the little guy I had grown to love so much. Well this year I have found myself in familiar territory, waiting for September, to see a guy I have grown to love so much. When I think about the past 4 months they have gone by quickly but when I think about how long it has been since I have seen John it truly feels like an eternity! I feel we have had a lot of challenges some that I have overcome and some new ones that are proving to be a bit of work. All I know is we have so much to look foward to this month birthdays, wedding, and most importantly a homecoming. While it is only for a short 15 days I predict it will be some of the best to date.
Here is whats the Blue calander is looking like....Welcome September!

Birthdays....
Augus
t is of course one of my favorite months. This past week we celebrated Poppy/dad's 55th birthday and my 29th. With two birthdays in a row Johnny is freaking out about his- informing me of everything he wants, making party plans and the invites, little does he know GiGi's is next. Ha! Following the day long celebration at work, we had a nice dinner, presents and cake at Longhorns with the family on Thursday for dad. Mine started on Friday with a beautiful delivery of pink roses at work. That smell amazing! Then Johnny spent the night out and I got a night to myself. I got to catch up with some friends and sleep in, well until 6. I sware I am about to put Hickup and Dr. Bickers on craigslist for freeee, that dog was in my face first thing in the morning and not to wish me happy birthday. Even still it was s
o nice to relax and get a break for a second and I know Johnny had a blast at GiGi and Poppys. All I know is there was popcorn, marsh mellows and root beer involved, only at the grandparents! After taking Hickup for a long run I got cleaned up and headed out. The rest of the day was relaxing, we hung out at the pool and I got spoiled with rice crispy treats, cake, and presents!!! Not to mention an awe
some dinner in which mom recreated my favorite O'Charleys salad of greens, strawberries, oranges and candy pecans, she really outdid herself - lol. With all of that I still missed John. Its just not the same without him around. I was worried that this experience was going to make us grow apart in some ways but I am realizing it is making us stronger. Thank you everyone who made my birthday special, I really appreciate all the great people I have in my life! Now I guess I better get to planning Johnny's pirate party!

Fall Ball
Well Fall Baseball has just started. Johnny is ready for it and I am too, it will be a good distraction for us both - hopefully. At the same time this is his and Johns thing so I am sure it wont be the same without daddy!
He is on the Astros! Which is great, he is on the team with a friend he made the first season of playing. And Fall ball is a little better for the kids because there are less on the team. As a Brave there was 12 kids on the roster, now there are only 8 so all the kids will really be involved on the field. I just got their game schedule and wanted to share it with everyone. If you want to come check out a game then let me know. They are all played at the Dacula Athletic Association, and give him a couple games to get the hang of it again. I will post pictures as soon as he gets his uniform!
