My Little Ninja

Some of you may be curious of the challenges I mentioned in the previous post. Well for those of you that know Johnny you know he is all boy all the time, with a lot of boy energy. If someone is sitting on the floor in our house you will most likely get tackled. It is his way of saying - hey, I love you or lets play. Well this is alright for the house but apparently school has a problem with it. LOL and I do understand I don't want anyone to get hurt. Since John has been gone he hasn't had a good wrestling buddy and it is becoming a bit of a problem. So I have been racking my brain to find a way Johnny can get out his fighting energy and came up with Karate. I know this is just what he needs right now in his life. It will teach him discipline, respect, give him more self confidence (believe me he doesn't need help with that) and be an outlet to fight, kick, punch in a controlled environment. (I know I am genius). Johnny had his first class last week and was the cutest thing ever in his uniform! OMG it was too much. He jumped right in there, and he stood in line, followed directions and got a big grin on his face when he got to kick the teacher. At the end of class he was awarded his patch of courage, and he is now working to earn his white belt. To do this he has to do 5 things without me asking. He has already helped with grocerys, cleared his plate and brushed his teeth - forget about Zippy, the elf on the shelf, I just needed to offer the kid a belt. I am really proud of him, i've got him involved in a lot of things right now gymnastics, t-ball and now karate and he does his best in all of them! Im excited while John is home he will be able to see him to all of them. So if you want to come out for a game or karate lesson let me know!

  1. How fun!!! I bet he will do awesome in karate- it is right up his alley. Roen has a friend who does karate and shows him his 'moves'. Roen has been begging to join but I am afraid of what might happen to sweet pea. She can hold her own, but I don't want to give Roen anymore ideas on 'moves' to use on her. Take a video of him at his next practice and POST IT!
    Love you guys!
